Since 1950, The Center for Pursuit has served the greater Houston community through innovative programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The nonprofit currently serves over 450 adults, promoting the pursuit of choice, growth, and personal independence.
The Center needs volunteers every day of the week in multiple areas, and takes special care to match your unique skill set to where it is needed most. The group also welcomes schools, churches, and businesses looking to make a difference. When you apply to volunteer at The Center, you are applying for a truly personalized volunteer experience that you will not find anywhere else.
Check out current opportunities and submit your information through the online Volunteer Application Portal. Be sure to download and read the orientation form before volunteering at The Center.
The Annual Luncheon is The Center's biggest fundraising event of the year, and is also an opportunity to show gratitude toward the wonderful supporters who help throughout the year. The 2020 luncheon has been postponed from May 7 to September 3, and will still be held at River Oaks Country Club.
