CanCare improves the quality of life for cancer patients and their caregivers — its primary goal is to ensure that no one battles cancer alone. CanCare offers sensitive, compassionate support, free of charge through trained support volunteers who themselves are cancer survivors or caregivers.
Founded in 1990, CanCare has trained over 1,700 support volunteers of more than 75 different types of cancer and has served over 22,000 individuals with one-on-one support and made over 138,000 hospital visits to patients and families in need. CanCare partners with over 100 corporations, hospitals, and congregations of varied faiths to effectively carry out its mission. All of CanCare’s services are confidential and free of charge.
CanCare Inc. is always seeking cancer survivors and caregivers of survivors to become a trained CanCare support volunteer and offer one-on-one emotional support to newly diagnosed cancer patients and caregivers.
Donations are greatly appreciated and will help enable CanCare to continue providing hope to thousands of individuals battling a cancer diagnosis. CanCare also seeks volunteers for events that take place throughout the year.
