The H.E.A.R.T. Program (Housing, Entrepreneurship, And Readiness Training) was founded to create new opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities, believing that everyone deserves the opportunity to excel and experience the sense of pride and accomplishment that is achieved through education and employment.

Since 2006, The H.E.A.R.T. Program has provided job training and placement in vending and concessions; the group now operates more than 70 vending machines in the Houston area, as well as as more than 150 concession events annually.

The best way to get involved with HEART is through volunteering (working with the trainees at sporting and festival events) or participating in any of its five annual fundraising special events: the luncheon, golf tournament, happy hour and silent auction, Bike to the Beach, and Chevron Houston Marathon. For more information, please contact Yunchiu at ychang@heartprogram.org or 713-692-4278.

Run With H.E.A.R.T. at the Chevron Houston Marathon. There are several ways to secure entry into the race — learn more here.
