Recipe for Success was launched in 2005 by Gracie and Bob Cavnar to lead the way in combatting childhood obesity by changing the way children understand, appreciate, and eat their food, and by helping the community provide healthier diets for kids. They envision a world where healthy eating is the norm and a culture where nutritious food is shared, appreciated, and celebrated.

Recipe for Success has dozens of opportunities for you to lend a hand in the fight against childhood obesity. One is by volunteering, and for more information click here. Sponsorship and donations are also greatly appreciated.

Recipe for Success' special events reflect their philosophy of putting people back in touch with their food and celebrating the best of what Houston's finest chefs have to offer. Their gatherings range from exuberant parties and exquisitely intimate dinners to casual community get-togethers on the farm.

Seasonal Chefs in the Field suppers at Hope Farms feature high-profile Houston chefs producing three- to five-course meals at the farm on April 7, June 17, and October 6, 2019. Tickets are $250 per person, and the event is limited to 100 people.

The Delicious Alchemy Banquet is held the first Monday in May (May 6, 2019). Ten extraordinary chefs, 10 exquisite courses, all for one exceptional cause. The cost is $2,500 per person, and the event is limited to 100 people.
