Literacy Now is dedicated to transforming communities by empowering children and families through literacy, leadership, and life skills.
Donate: All of the programs at Literacy Now are offered at no cost to the children. The nonprofit is totally dependent on the gracious contributions of individuals, churches, and corporations, as well as grant funds to provide all of the program needs. Volunteer: There are multiple ways you can make a difference by sharing your time and talents, and Literacy Now would love to have you join its amazing team of volunteers.
The Guild Luncheon helps the dedicated ladies of the Literacy Now Guild fulfill their mission by becoming a luncheon sponsor. The mission of the guild is to support Literacy Now by assisting with program activities and events, helping to raise program funds, and spreading awareness of the organization.
Houston Reads Day is an event where you can join more than 650 volunteers to raise awareness of the literacy crisis in the city and support Literacy Now’s expansion plan. Volunteers will come together to read aloud to 18,000 pre-K-3rd graders in HISD and Aldine ISD students at 50 schools throughout Houston.
Magnums Make a Difference is a one-of-a-kind wine dinner where guests bring a magnum of their favorite wine to share with their table. This event continues to grow annually and includes a multi-course gourmet meal, as well as silent and live auctions.
