Citizens for Animal Protection
http://www.cap4pets.org/

Founded in 1972, Citizens for Animal Protection is committed to sheltering, rescuing, and placing homeless animals; relieving animal suffering by preventing animal cruelty; providing humane education to develop an aware and responsive community; and advocating respect and compassion for animal life.

Volunteers can be as young as 14, and assist with everything from adoption meet-and-greets to administrative tasks to dog walking, laundry, and assisting with wellness and vaccination clinics. To learn more about available opportunities and register for a volunteer information session, head here

Fosters are always needed, especially in the spring and summer when most litters are born. Complete a foster application here, and register for foster orientation and training here.

Of course, you can always give cats and kittens, puppies and dogs, and small animals a loving forever home through adoption. Click here to learn about our adoption fees, requirements and applications.

Every last Friday of the month, CAP hosts a Kid's Night where the first 50 kids to arrive at CAP from 6:30-9:30 pm get entertained with animal-themed fun and games. A kid-approved dinner is included, and each child is welcome for a donation of $15 (or more, if you're so inclined).

You can set up a recurring donation to CAP here.
