First organized in 1886, the YMCA of Greater Houston's mission is to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The YMCA has always stayed true to its mission, values, and purpose and works to ensure all individuals have the support they need to achieve their full potential, regardless of ability to pay.

In the Greater Houston area, 25 YMCA facilities, one overnight camp, and hundreds of program sites work to empower youth, build healthier families, and foster inclusive communities. The YMCA serves more than 750,000 individuals each year, ensuring that they have the resources needed to learn, grow, and thrive.

Donations to the YMCA of Greater Houston ensure that everyone — regardless of age, income, or background — has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Thanks to generous donors, we are able to fulfill this mission through low-cost programs and direct financial assistance for families in need. One hundred percent of all dollars donated are invested into programs and services for children and families in the community.
