Trees of Hope transforms lives with fundraising and outreach activities for the exclusive benefit of children's programs at Star of Hope, Houston's largest mission for the homeless.

Guild volunteers are the enthusiastic, organizational, and creative force behind the Trees of Hope Gala and the special events for the children at Star of Hope. Guild volunteer opportunities include serving during the Mother's Day Party and New Shoe events, serving on a Gala committee, assisting in the Trees of Hope office, and volunteering at Star of Hope. Whether you have time to volunteer on a regular schedule or can help on a one-time basis, there is a place for you within the Trees of Hope Guild.

As a one-of-a-kind fundraising effort with a holiday theme, the Trees of Hope Gala has become Houston’s unofficial "kick-off" to the holiday season. What began as a week-long Festival of Trees in 1990 has evolved into an annual black-tie gala. Each year, the net proceeds of the gala are donated directly to the Children’s Critical Care Fund at Star of Hope. The event represents the consummate "party with a purpose," combining a delightful evening of dinner, shopping, and dancing with a celebration of the important mission of Trees of Hope. In the last 29 years, Trees of Hope has donated over $10 million dollars to Star of Hope.

There are four Guild levels: Patron ($50+), Sponsor ($100+), Benefactor ($200+), and  Lifetime ($1,000+).
