Ronald McDonald House Houston offers a home away from home, providing care, compassion, and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions. In the last three decades, its vision has grown to include: the Holcombe House, a freestanding, 50-bedroom home for longer term stays; a house inside Texas Children’s Hospital with 20 bedrooms; a house inside Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital with 14 bedrooms; four Family Rooms inside Texas Children’s Hospital; and more.
Over 600 volunteers serve the eight locations throughout the Texas Medical Center, providing love and support to thousands of families each year by baking cookies, greeting families at check-in, hosting meals and activities and so much more.
