The Periwinkle Foundation develops and provides programs that positively change the lives of children, young adults, and families who are challenged by cancer and other life threatening illnesses and are cared for at Texas Children’s Hospital.

The Periwinkle Foundation is fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers, doctors, donors, and in-kind contributors who understand how important it is to let Texas Children’s Hospital patients and families leave illness behind, if only for a few days.

Producing these unique camping, recreational, and arts and creative writing experiences for children who have been through so much takes many resources. The Periwinkle Foundation office has four paid staff members, otherwise Periwinkle programs are totally volunteer-driven with over 300 volunteers giving nearly 27,000 hours a year to ensure the Periwinkle programs continue to change lives.

Volunteer opportunities cover a range of skills, from leadership development, accounting, web and social media assistance, running errands, camp support and more.

The Periwinkle Foundation offers a variety of annual events, including camps, a gala, and the kickball classic. For more information, head here.
