Sea, Sky and Sun
Spectacular sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico: Look at "God's coloring book"

If the summer sun is special, fall's is a stunner. Last week, it produced a different show every day at 5:30 p.m.
I’m no world traveler but it’s hard to imagine prettier sunsets than those over the good ol' Gulf of Mexico. I thought of what my 5-year old niece once said. Pointing up at the sky that day, “Look!” she cried, “God’s coloring book!”
From here in northwest Florida, the skies are jaw-dropping in color and ever-changing. More amazing is that long after the orange ball has disappeared, the sky continues growing. You best keep your seat because sea, sky and sun are not yet done. The finale is beyond beautiful.
I tried to describe these sunsets to a friend, but unable to find words fitting, I settled on sending him photographs. Later, when I explained my failed attempt, Chris wrote back, “Sometimes a visual is enough.”
Given these sunsets, quite.
