Hottie auction: Houston's most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes sell themselves for Green

The 411: What a sight it was when a bevy of Houston's most eligible hunks and pretty young things volunteered to be on the auction block for this yearly young professionals singles event that supports Trees for Houston. The bachelor and bachelorette affair, emceed by Steven Stone and Kristen Atherton, roused 100 RedBuds members and friends to knock back a few adult bevs while bidding for dates with accomplished twenty and thirtysomethings, a fetching coterie that included plastic surgeon Kristy Hamilton, entrepreneur Cody Heath and attorney Colin Hughes.
The party raised $8,000 thanks in part to big spenders Sherwin Bradford, who ponied up $1,220 for a rendezvous with mortgage banker Emily Zarcaro, and Schulyer Evans, who paid $1,300 for a date with Homemade Hope founder Blair Bentley. Green from the event will support Trees for Houston's efforts in keeping the city's canopy flourishing.
