The Art Guys cross Houston's busiest intersection . . . for eight straight hours
Despite Friday's driving rain and rush hour traffic, the Art Guys spent eight continuous hours traversing the crosswalks at Westheimer and Hillcroft, an intersection identified by city officials as the busiest in Houston.
The tireless intersection crossing marked the ninth installment in the duo's 12 Events project — a monthly series of artistic feats of strength celebrating Michael Galbreth and Jack Massing's 30 years as a team. So far, the Guys have walked the city's longest street, told jokes for eight hours and unraveled a large spool of twine.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Houston's masters of art-world quirk carefully circled the Westheimer-Hillcroft junction, disseminating the dizzying event via Facebook and Twitter.
