Charming Charlie makes a move internationally, adds sparkle to Middle East shopping meccas
Dazzling Dubai just received another jolt of glitz as Houston-based Charming Charlie has opened boutiques in two of that emirate's mega malls. This marks the contemporary jewelry and accessories giant's first venture across the oceans.
Plans are to next tempt shoppers in Qatar with the plethora of glittering fashion jewelry, handbags, watches and the like. The Middle East introduction is a new direction for the brand's rocketing expansion that runs as high as 55 new stores each year in the U.S.
“Dubai is the quintessential shopping destination in the Middle East," according to a statement by Charlie Chanaratsopon, Charming Charlie founder and CEO, "and an ideal location for worldwide visibility as Charming Charlie begins to evolve into a global lifestyle brand.”
While the Ibn Battuta and City Centre Mirdif malls are wildly colorful wonders in themselves, the new Charming Charlie boutiques are said to showcase "the brand’s newest retail concept with signature double doors in vibrant pink lacquer and a residential-style interior that mixes feminine, mid-century accents with luxe materials and whimsical details."
Chanaratsopon founded Charming Charlie in 2004 and today has more than 350 stores internationally, including Canada. Three are in Houston.
