Recently released renderings of The Wilshire at River Oaks District, a 17-story luxury residential tower planned adjacent to the under-construction River Oaks District shopping and dining destination between Westheimer and San Felipe roads, show off what officials at Pelican Builders are touting as the most "significant landmark building" developed by the company.

"We acknowledge local concerns regarding the energy industry and its impact on our market, but we have been advised this will be a brief period of correction specific to the energy industry. Houston will persevere and continue to evolve into one of the premier cities in the country.
"Our location within proximity to River Oaks District and confidence in Houston long term has led us to charge ahead.”
The Wilshire, set for 2049 Westcreek Lane, will offer 14 floor plans ranging from two-bedroom, two-bath units averaging 1,300 square feet to 12 deluxe penthouses with three bedrooms and three and one-half bath averaging 3,500 square feet. All 96 residences in the luxury building will have balconies. Pricing will range from $800,000 to $2,990,000.
Amenities are to include multiple venues for indoor and outdoor activities, including a morning room with coffee service and a private party room with wine lockers, an indoor/outdoor fitness and casual lounge space with bar and private dining and a 25,145-square-foot landscaped pool deck above the parking garage featuring a 75-foot lap pool with adjacent wet deck, cabana rooms and a covered grilling kitchen.
The property and its 96 residences are designed by Houston-based Kirksey Architecture. The new sales office is expected to open next week, with groundbreaking for The Wilshire scheduled for May.
