Move over Marlboro Man and The Most Interesting Man in the World.
There's a new marketing hunk in town, and Marlowe is his name: A sexy, handsome man with spellbinding eyes ready to swoon you into joining his swanky downtown pad at the proposed 20-story Marlowe Houston luxury residential tower to be built at 1311 Polk St.
The initial Marlowe ad campaign, as shown on the property's website, states, "Meet Marlowe and his stylized condos." Modelesque Marlowe, most likely wearing an Armani suit and with a trendy stubble, is staring right at you, giving his best seductive stare.

Whether the campaign ever reaches the successes of the Marlboro Man or the Dos Equis spokesperson, Marlowe Houston is promising contemporary elegance in one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans, as well as seven "exclusive" penthouses in the 100-unit tower over a 162-slot parking garage. Amenities include 24-hour concierge, valet parking, fitness center, steam and massage rooms and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Houston EB5, a partner in the suave adventure, also mentions on its website a "Starlight" pool and hot tub as plans for the property.
Condo sizes range from 900 square feet for the single bedroom units to 3,000 square feet for the largest apartments, including the penthouses. Prices start at $420,000 and escalate to $1.485 million.
Estimated groundbreaking is set for June, with projected completion sometime after the 20-month construction period. No total project costs are available at this time, but sales offices open April 1.
The Marlowe campaign won't include a female poster girl, Davis says. Marlowe's the man for the job.
