Uber and Goode Co. kick off Rodeo season with barbecue delivery to your door
Wondering what to eat for lunch? Bored with the regular options but unwilling to face another cold, rainy day? One of Houston's iconic restaurants has partnered with one of the country's hottest companies to offer a helping hand.
Today only (Feb. 25), from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Uber will deliver barbecue sandwiches from Goode Co. BBQ. Use the Uber app to order a barbecue sandwich, side of sauce and a slice of Goode Co.'s signature Brazos bottom pecan pie delivered straight to your door (limit four per order). Considering a sandwich and pie costs about $13 for pick-up, the $15 fee represents only a minor upcharge. Besides, a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Houston Food Bank.
The promotion is tied to the arrival of Rodeo season and the World's Championship Bar-B-Que cook-off that starts Thursday. It's also a way to make your office smell like barbecue, and that's never a bad thing.
