    Decisions, decisions

Hometown dates stir up trouble on The Bachelor; Sean hangs with crazy-in-love AshLee in Houston

    Jennifer Chininis
    Feb 19, 2013 | 7:45 am

Is anyone else thinking that maybe Tierra wasn’t the crazy one? The girl who says “I love you” first — to a guy who’s dating other women, BTW — has to be missing a screw. She’s either shockingly confident or certifiably nuts.

And we’re not even factoring in the blindfold thing. But we don’t have time for that now.

When Sean goes to Houston to hang with AshLee, we half expect her to take him shopping for wedding gowns. All she can do is throw around the “l” word and talk about how she’s been dreaming about this day since she was 5.

“There’s no doubt I want to marry this man,” AshLee says. “Like, the second we can. Because we’re in love. I don’t want to wait.”

“Before I met Sean, I thought I knew what love was,” she says. “I had no clue what real, true love is.”

Wait. It gets better. “Some boyfriends have met my family. But this deep, this involved, with this much involved from my heart and my soul? That has never happened before.”

Somebody please explain how this happens in a matter of weeks. On television. With other girls vying for the same guy’s affection.

“I love this man so much,” AshLee says. “I don’t want to wait a long time. There’s no doubt I want to marry this man. Like, the second we can. Because we’re in love. I don’t want to wait.”

Oh you two are in love? Funny we haven’t heard Sean mention it.

“Sean makes me feel like I can conquer anything. Today has been magical. Just magical. It’s like there’s pixie dust everywhere. This has absolutely been my dream come true.

This is going to get ugly if — actually, let’s say when — she gets the boot. It’s not today. But it has to be coming, right?

His date with Catherine seems much more natural, like two people who’ve only been out on a few dates. Because, well, they’ve only been out on a few dates.

Catherine’s sisters proceed to trash her to Sean. They say she needs someone to call her out on her crap. And she’s moody! She’s not all fun, you know.

They have fun throwing fish at the Pike Place Market and cuddling up in the photo booth and dancing like fools and sticking gum on the wall.

Things start off all smiles, but Catherine’s sisters aren’t sold. They tell Catherine that the relationship won’t always be so fun and she had better be ready for something serious, if it comes to that.

“I’m confused why I had to continue to defend myself and my relationship with Sean,” she says.

Well, maybe because the circumstances under which you met are a little, um, unconventional?

Then the sisters proceed to trash Catherine to Sean. They say she needs someone to call her out on her crap. And she’s moody! She’s not all fun, you know. Wow. That’s not very nice. Mom is nice, at least. She just refuses to give her blessing.

Then Sean is off to see Lindsay and her general dad. They all joke about her showing up in a wedding gown. They confirm that even though she’s 24, Lindsay is ready to settle down. Thank goodness for that!

Mom appreciates his honesty about whether or not he loves Lindsay. And despite the promos for this episode, the general turns out to be a nice guy. He gives Sean his blessing to propose.

Now Sean is more attracted to Lindsay because he digs her dad. “I can see myself in your family,” he says.

“I’m definitely falling in love with you,” she replies.

“I think you’re a playboy,” says Desiree’s brother Nate. “You’re just having fun with the circumstances.”

    That deal is sealed.

So Sean goes to see Desiree, and just when they’re getting comfortable at her house, there’s a knock on the door. Surprise! Her ex-boyfriend arrives to pledge his eternal love.

Oh, wait. He’s an actor. Silly Desiree. She can dish out a practical joke as well as she can take it! He likes her even more.

Desiree’s mom loves Sean. Thinks he’s handsome. Dad thinks he’d be a great son-in-law. However, Nate, Dez’s brother, is not impressed. He doesn’t think that Sean reciprocates Desiree’s feelings.

“I’m crazy about your sister,” Sean says.

“Crazy about a lot of girls, right?” Nate retorts.

It’s tense and awkward. Sean fails to put Nate’s mind at ease.

“I think you’re a playboy,” Nate says. “You’re just having fun with the circumstances.”

“I’m sorry I gave you that opinion, but that’s not me,” Sean says. “I don’t think you’re buying it.”

“No, not at all,” Nate says.

“I don’t know what to make of this guy,” Sean says. “To call me a playboy at this point, he’s basically calling me a fraud.”

Despite a last-minute plea by Desiree at the rose ceremony, Sean can’t get past Nate’s remarks, so he sends her home.

It’s a long and tearful goodbye. She thinks he’s making a huge mistake.

    “I might be,” he says.

    Too late now.

If it weren't for another bachelorette's brother, Catherine wouldn't have gotten a rose.

Rapper J. Cole will come to American Airlines Center in Dallas on September 19, 2026.

Rapper and record producer J. Cole will set off on the globe-spanning The Fall-Off Tour in 2026, a journey that will include a stop at the Toyota Center in Houston on Wednesday, September 16.

The tour will start with a 32-city leg in the U.S. and Canada, kicking off in Charlotte, North Carolina on July 11.

A four-city Texas run will come toward the end of the leg, including San Antonio on September 13, Austin on September 14, and Dallas on September 19.

Following the North American leg, he will travel to Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand for 22 additional dates, taking the tour through mid-December.

The tour is in support of J. Cole's just-released new album, The Fall-Off, his first new album in five years.

Each of the rapper's previous six albums — dating back to his 2011 debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story — have gone to No. 1 on the overall Billboard 200 chart.

This is also J. Cole’s first solo headline tour in five years, and his first full global run since the 2017 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour.

Tickets for all North American dates will be available starting on Tuesday, February 17 at 11 am via an artist presale. Fans can sign up for the presale at thefalloff.com/tour.

Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Friday, February 20 at 11 am at thefalloff.com.
