Strong women and alt artists set new concert dates to rock Houston this summer
Music fans, get out your calendars. Live Nation has announced a slew of new concerts coming to The Woodlands in 2019, including Beck and Cage the Elephant on July 28 and Heart on August 22.
Alternative artists Beck and Cage the Elephant will co-headline a concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion as part of their The Night Running Tour. Beck has made an impact on moviegoers in recent months, releasing songs in association with both Roma and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.
Cage the Elephant will release their fifth album, Social Cues, on April 19. Tickets for this concert, which will also feature an opening performance by Spoon, go on sale on February 15. The tour will also go to Austin and Dallas.
Finally, the legendary duo of Ann and Nancy Wilson — aka Heart — will bring their female-heavy Love Alive tour to Dos Equis Pavilion. Elle King will be the opening act for the Houston concert, but other dates will feature such powerhouses as Sheryl Crow, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and Brandi Carlile.
Tickets for Heart, whose most recent album was 2016's Beautiful Broken, will go on sale February 15. Heart will also be in Dallas as part of the tour.
