Houston date announced for summer's strangest co-headlining concert tour

Break out the purple drank and your studded belt: Lil Wayne and Blink-182 are coming to Houston on their upcoming co-headlining tour. In what is surely the most unexpected concert mash-up since U2 and No Doubt, the rap superstar and beloved pop punk band are joining forces for a summer-long sojourn across North America.
"Fans can expect a tour like no other from the two artists who have both defined and defied their respective genres over the past two decades," organizers said in a release. "They have both seen incredible success in their long-lasting careers with the astonishing number of awards, multi-platinum albums and singles and No. 1 songs stacked between the two of them — a testament to each’s long standing and loyal fan bases."
The 38-city tour begins and ends in Ohio of all places, kicking off June 27 in Columbus and ending September 16 in Cincinnati. Neck Deep will join as the opening act on all dates.
Houston plays host to Lil Wayne and Blink-182 on July 31 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. In addition to H-Town, the tour is scheduled to hit Austin on August 1 at Austin360 Amphitheater at Circuit of The Americas and Dallas on August 2 at The Dos Equis Pavilion.
The tour will also come to El Paso on August 4 at Don Haskins Center, but Blink-182 will be playing solo for that show.
In celebration of their summer together, Blink-182 and Lil Wayne released a video mash-up of their songs,“What’s My Age Again?" and “A Milli," which is delightful, and you can watch here.
