Sawyer Yards is hosting Ann Marie Vancas at Inspiratus: A Winter Street Studios Exhibition. The exhibition will explore and showcase the inspiration behind artistic creation by featuring Street Studios tenant’s artwork and the inspiration behind each piece. Guests, collectors, designers and art patrons will venture through the halls of Winter Street Studios to view and shop original works from various Houston artists in different disciplines.
Vancas has a style of her own despite coming from a family of artists, using the artistic style of abstract and surrealism with a slight emphasis on fauvism, which has resulted in her unique coined term “sensuism.” Due to a neurological condition called synesthesia, which results in Vancas seeing color upon hearing music, she uses music and mood to bring her colorful stories to life.
The exhibition will be on display through October 20.
