This Tennessee native returns to Houston where he had the audition of his life. In 2006, Chris Young showcased his baritone voice for the reality television show Nashville Star. Judges and viewers voted Young the winner, earning him a recording contract. The competition jump-started his career, leading to a gold certified album with The Man I Want to Be. In 2011, he won Breakthrough Artist of the Year from the American Country Awards with his album Neon, which included two singles that made it to No. 1 on the Billboard country charts. Young's latest album, A.M., was released in the fall of 2013.
