New Vanity Lounge breaks into party scene, totally rocks West Ave: Bat your eyelashes, baby!
Oh, the fluttering lashings, the perfectly-shaped brows, the beautiful maquillage! Could we expect anything less from Edward Sanchez Vanity Lounge patrons, who turned out in fashionable force for the grand opening party of the new lash and makeup salon in West Ave?
The man of the hour, makeup artist Edward Sanchez, himself handsomely made-up and his pompadour rising to enviable heights, held court in the swank chandelier-decked salon as his business partner Diane Caplan welcomed the hip crowd.
Lean and lanky models, wearing party frocks from Tootsiesand serving as living palettes for the makeup talents of Vanity Lounge artists, paraded through the partying throng.
The four makeup artists were on hand to give touch-ups and advice, lash specialists shared their secrets and VIP guests went home with goodie bags containing luscious product samples.
Caplan and Sanchez were planning on 150 guests for the early-evening grand opening and to accommodate the crush, they velvet-roped off party space on the West Ave drive-through. A DJ spun tunes while servers from Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse (soon to open a few steps away) passed libations and goodies from the steakhouse kitchen. Del Frisco's Arthur Mooradian was on hand to insure tasteful perfection.
