JDRF supporters stock the charity wine cellar in swank River Oaks evening
What:Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation "Bottles for the Ball" event.
Where: The River Oaks home of Meredith and Fielding Cocke.
The scoop: It was all about the wine and the April 30 JDRF "Into the Blue" gala at the cocktail reception where guests were asked to bring special bottles of wine with prices beginning at $150. The Promise Ball Cellar is one of the perennial auction favorites at the ball. This year, Debbie and John Zumberge have contributed a 2004 Terrestre signed by the wine makers of Tenuta Torciano San Gimignano.
As part of the evening's entertainment, Fielding Cocke led guests on a sip-and-see tour of the family's one-of-a-kind wine cellar.
