Louis Vuitton launches Make A Promise day with locket sales for UNICEF
Fashion powerhouse Louis Vuitton, in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), is giving you a reason to break out your credit card and shop for a good cause. On Thursday, the French fashion house is launching its first #makeapromise day at its 460 stores worldwide, including the Louis Vuitton Houston Galleria boutique.
Stylish pieces from the special-edition Silver Lockit collection, including a silver pendant, which retails for $600, and bracelet, which sells for $500, will be for sale. For every Silver Lockit item purchased, $200 will be donated to UNICEF, the international non-profit organization that supports children exposed to conflict, diseases, natural disasters and other situations that threaten their safety and well-being in 190 countries and territories.
To further raise awareness of the charitable campaign, shoppers and non-shoppers alike are encouraged to make a pinky promise (done simply by linking your little fingers together) and share a post on social media using the hashtag, #makeapromise.
Louis Vuitton also encourages clients and the public to make direct donations to UNICEF throughout the year. Since January 2016, the Louis Vuitton for UNICEF partnership raised $2.5 million.
