Hot models, sweet champagne & Ali McGraw style: Elaine Turner sure knows how tothrow a benefit
While plans are in the works for hometown design talent Elaine Turner to open boutiques far beyond the Lone Star state boundaries, she celebrated the launch of her fall line with benefit parties in both of her Houston boutiques.
At the new CityCentre shop, Friends of the Stehlin Foundation were introduced to the line inspired by Ali McGraw while they ginned up interest in the Nov. 10 gala.
Gala chairs Lory Tauber and Gabrielle Patout doubled as hostesses of the party that featured bites and sips from the nearby Tasting Room. A percentage of related sales were earmarked for the Stehlin Foundation.
Across town in her Rice Village boutique, the handbag and shoe designer welcomed a flock of swans for a Fashion's Night Out fete benefiting the Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation. The ladies sipped bubbly as models paraded in Turner's latest looks.
