Make that 2 In-N-Outs
In-N-Out Burger surprises Houston with opening of second location
Houston fans of In-N-Out Burger, rejoice! The city is getting a double dose of the California-based burger chain with two locations opening at 10:30 am on Friday, November 22.
The first, as CultureMap previously reported, will be at 12611 S. Kirkwood Rd. in The Grid mixed-use development. In addition, a second In-N-Out will open in Katy at 1010 Katy-Fort Bend Rd., the Houston Chroniclereports.
That means two options for Houstonians who want their first taste of Double-Doubles, animal-style fries, and Neapolitan milkshakes. That's a good thing, considering the rumors of In-N-Out's Houston plans date back to at least 2011.
True to form, some of the members of the Katy/Fort Bend Foodies Facebook group who received an invite to the Katy location's soft opening immediately began to debate the newcomer's merits versus Texas institution Whataburger. Starting today, everyone who's willing to wait in line will have the same opportunity.
