Houstonians, if your vehicle ever goes missing, look no further than the bayou.
Not the illustrious, infamous Buffalo Bayou, mind you. The headlines swirling around lesser known Sims Bayou are driving traffic straight into the water.
On Tuesday evening, a large object that resembled a vehicle was reported protruding out of Sims Bayou near I-45 as KTRK Ch. 13 first reported.
When the authorities investigated, they found a vehicle, all right — and three others.
Three submerged white cargo work vans and one U-Haul — all deemed stolen — were dragged out of Sims Bayou. Yes, you read that correctly. There were four large utility vehicles buried beneath the bayou's murky waters.
As of now, no one has been pegged with stealing and sinking the cars. But now you know where to go if yours disappears from your driveway.
