2017 marks Casa de Esperanza's 35th Anniversary, and a generation of a family who have been involved with the organization for over 30 years will be chairing the event: Flo McGee, Wade Upton, Katie and John Daily, Lindy and Tom McGee & April and Wells McGee. Cordúa Restaurants will once again provide the evening’s food for the 28th consecutive year.
The event will raise funds for Houston's abused and abandoned children that otherwise would live without a safe home. Casa de Esperanza does not charge for any of its services and does not receive government funding; therefore, it depends on the generosity of the community for continued support and growth.
