The 411: A chat about football led by Houston Texans president Jamey Rootes was the ultimate dessert for the 100-plus men attending the slick annual fundraiser at the downtown private club. Tradition holds that cigars are part of the gentlemanly entertainments.
Steve Morse and Trey Peacock chaired the evening that featured a live auction of priceless opportunities such as the hunting trip to the Apache Corporation’s legendary Shady Lane Lodge located in Wyoming with travel aboard a private jet or a three-day dove hunt in Cordoba, Argentina. Following the auction and dinner, the gents retired to the Coronado Club for more manly conversation and another puff on the stogies.
Who: Dining on the game dinner featuring Syrah-braised buffalo short ribs and fine wines were Alley managing director Dean Gladden, Scotty Arnoldy, Bob Cavnar, Bo Hopson, Dan Tutcher, Roger Plank, Jim McBride, Jonathan Finger and Michael McMahon.
