Lots of bubbly, grand chapeaus & polo produce a Triple Crown for the HealthMuseum
The Health Museum has a sure-fire winner with its annual Triple Crown Polo fundraiser, sponsored by the museum's Professionals Circle. The third-annual afternoon benefit at Houston Polo Club sold out three weeks in advance and drew a fashionable crowd of attractive supporters.
Chair Maidie Ryan oversaw the festive scene, which was scattered with multi-colored rose petals, where the champagne and other libations flowed and where scrumptious food beckoned. Maidie reports that "The gracefulness of the polo match was the perfect backdrop to this event that was filled with fabulous spring hats that could rival those of any royal wedding."
There was, of course, a hat competition and walking away with top honors for the grandest chapeau was Montrice Malone.
Among the 250 guests that helped raise more than $15,000 were David Cordúa, Beth Bryant, Stacy and John Andell, James Jones, Cortney Cole with Barrett Hall, Stacy and Scott Humphries, Patrick Ryan, Leigh Evans, Kari Govin, Sammy Ford and Erica Rose.
