Bacon's back and it's for dessert! Petite Sweets gets sweet and savory with abacon jam cupcake
If you've been burned out on bacon since you overdosed at that "Baconfest 2011" party you threw in your backyard this summer, now's the time to fall in love with the piggy goodness all over again.
Bacon is getting a dose of sweetness courtesy of new bakery on the block Petite Sweets. Pastry chef Susan Molzan started with the irresistible bacon jam from BRC Gastropub (Petite Sweets & BRC share ownership) and mixed it into vanilla batter with maple butter cream frosting on top. Molzan says the Bacon Jam Pancake mini-cupcake is the best cupcake she's ever made.
But you don't have to take her word for it. Petite Sweets has also rolled out new fall cupcake flavors like ice cream sundae, black and white and salty caramel, all made in bite-sized portions so you can try as many as you want.
