Boutique Love tour party stops at Houston shop to tout independent and emerging designers
What: The Saint Cloud and Garmentory Boutique Love tour party with Recipe for Success.
Where: Saint Cloud Boutique in Rice Village.
The 411: A group of stylish Houstonians kicked off their Cinco de Mayo at a party hosted by Saint Cloud for Garmentory's traveling Boutique Love tour. Garmentory is a Seattle-based e-commerce platform that showcases independent and emerging designers and boutiques across the country. Houston is one of the four stops on the Boutique Love tour, and Saint Cloud is the only Houston boutique available to shop on Garmentory. Guests mingled with Adele Tetangco, the founder of the innovative site, and chatted about the flourishing local business community in Houston.
The crowd was a mix of style bloggers, creatives and shoppers who gathered to support Garmentory and Recipe for Success. Ten percent of all sales during the reception went to the Houston non-profit working to combat childhood obesity through a healthy food lifestyle.
In the spirit of Cinco de Mayo, guests enjoyed "The Healthy Mexican" margarita made by Justin Kouri, a former personal chef to celebrities in New York City. The cocktail, made with fresh carrot juice and a homemade jalapeño syrup, was a fun way to take the guilt out of drinking a margarita. Kouri now lives in Houston and works for Recipe for Success as a culinary education coordinator.
Guests left with Garmentory goodie bags filled with gifts from Enter Accessories, Woodlot, Marfa Brand and Reassembly to name a few.
Who: Saint Cloud's Cecilia Marquez, Garmentory's Elisa Kosonen, Carra Sykes, fashion bloggers Alice Kerley, Demia Doggetteand Issa Chou of Yellow Magazine.
