It sure looks that way
Did Kim Kardashian lift her logo from a Houston designer?
- "Korcula" by Kim Kardashian
- Lindley Bertin's signature symbol
CoCoPerez, the fashion arm of popular blog PerezHilton.com, has reported that Houston-based jewelry designer Lindley Bertin, who owns and runs the brand Korcula, had her logo lifted by E! darling Kim Kardashian.
Kardashian recently launched a new line of perfume and the bottle's logo looks nearly identical to the Korcula logo. That's no surprise: Bertin sent Kardashian one of her signature double K necklaces in June of 2008 for a little publicity, and the reality star has even been photographed and filmed wearing the gift.
Bertin told CultureMap that after the photos of Kim sporting her Korkula necklace surfaced, she sent a bracelet as gratitude. It ended up on Khloe Kardashian's wrist in an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
"It's unfortunate. I was actually an advocate of hers, I watched her show and I really liked her, and it's just disappointing because I spent a lot of time and money creating my image," Bertin said. "And for someone to have that kind of sense of entitlement, and to take credit for something as theirs that was given to them as a gift is infuriating."
Bertin has hired an attorney and plans to send the Kardashian camp a letter. If they don't respond, she plans to file a lawsuit.
We've seen the photos, and we think Kim is a krook with a kapital "K".
