Jim Carrey tweets for Team Infidelity & Big Ben's sexual freedom
It seems like everyone watched the Masters.
Jim Carrey (whose tweets look like you might expect a 48-year-old's to look, riddled with outdated emoticons and 2 many abbrevs) took to his official Twitter account to weigh in on the Tiger Woods scandal, and shocked followers by being staunchly Team Tiger.
Shortly after tweeting confirmation of his own break-up (after a five-year relationship with Jenny McCarthy) Carrey tweeted: "No wife is blind enough to miss that much infidelity. Elin had 2 b a willing participant on the ride 4 whatever reason. kids/lifestyle ;^)"
Ah, so it's Elin's fault. That notoriously private child of prominent Swedish parents was just after the money and the fame. Perhaps she should have spent less time raising her two kids and more time caving to the paranoia any self-respecting pro-athlete's wife should have. (According to Carrey, curling is the only safe sport for a married man).
The sometimes funny-man issued a pretty weak apology, saying he didn't condone infidelity, but that responsibility for straying outside a relationship is shared by both partners. In other words, "Sorry I'm not sorry."
And Carrey's unsolicited commentary doesn't seem to be slowing. After he promised to tame his tweets at the request of his handlers, he followed with this gem:
"Well, I ate my inoffensive sandwich with an acceptable glass of milk and took the dogs out, while avoiding any controversial thought [...] then I was sexually assaulted by Ben Roethlisberger! I can't be certain but it sure looked like him! Good thing I'm a Steelers fan!"
Jim, that's the first funny thing you've said in years.
