The Chevy Traverse has crossed over into female-friendly territory with an abundance of features the whole family loves. From ample space and accessible cup holders to XM Satellite Radio — including real-time traffic and bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity — the Traverse was created with the busy life of a modern-day woman in mind.

General Motors designers and engineers employed the Cave Automated Virtual Environment, or CAVE, to develop interior dimensions and design ideas for the Traverse.
Family-friendly focus groups told GM designers details such as cup holder size, DVD screen location and storage of smartphones, MP3 players and electronic tablets were high on their wish lists.
Even the front-seat passenger was considered in the Traverse. The front center armrest slides forwards and backwards, and multiple storage bins can be raised out of the way for unobstructed access to the covered storage bin within the center console.
Accustomed to multi-tasking, female drivers applaud the hands-free Bluetooth and the second-row Smart Slide seat feature that provides easy access to the third-row seats. The Traverse features a rearview camera system and a six-speed automatic transmission, delivering an EPA-estimated 24 mpg on the highway.
