Food truck festival showcases diverse dining options — everything from lobster to Spam
There’s something for everyone at the 5th annual Haute Wheels Houston festival, which rolls into Houston Community College’s southwest campus this weekend (March 21-March 22; noon-5 p.m.).
The family-friendly event will feature fare from 34 local food trucks including first-timers Cousins Maine Lobster, The Pickled Pig, Mahalo Munchies, Flip'n Patties, H-Town StrEATs and more.
"This gets pretty much everybody that you've ever wanted to try all in one place, all at the same time, with drinks, bands and just a lot of activity. It's a really good event," says our own Eric Sandler in this week's KHOU CultureMap Moment (see video below).
Eat, drink and be merry for a good cause — the money from tickets sold ($16 per person including a $5 beverage) goes to support the students at Houston Community College.
