The 411: Guest speakers Lori and Wayne Earl shared the story of the loss of their 16-year-old daughter, Esther Grace Earl, whose remarkable life was chronicled in This Star Won't Go Out, which was later made into the movie The Fault in Our Stars. Brought down by thyroid cancer, she left behind a message of living life to the fullest.
Lesha and Tom Elsenbrook chaired the luncheon that raised more then $180,000 for Houston Hospice's Butterfly program, recognized nationally for its leadership in pediatric hospice care.
