Heartthrob Hollywood actor lights up the catwalk, but kids steal the show
Heartthrob actor Mario Lopez winged into Houston to do a big favor for supporters of Boys & Girls Harbor. He donned the latest in men's fashions from Lucho, took the hand of his nephew, Maiko Wong, and kicked off the non-profit's annual charity fashion show at the Omni Houston Hotel.
On this day, Lopez spoke on behalf of the Harris County children who find refuge at the Harbor after suffering from abuse, neglect or abandonment. Adding to the celeb factor, he was joined on the runway by sports celebs Mike Chabala of Houston Dynamo fame and retired NFL cornerback Donovan Greer.

Celebs on the runway included KHOU Channel 11's Mia Gradney, KTRK Channel 13's Miya Shay and Page Parkes founder Page Parkes. While they escorted children from the Harbor, socialite Jennifer Brown strolled the runway with her two youngsters, Isabel and Noah.
KPRC Channel 2 meteorologist Britta Merwin served as emcee of the event that included an auction, a mystery egg sale and raffle of a week's stay at the fab resort in Curacao that was featured in Season 12 of the Bachelorette. Congrats to lucky winner Jud Walker.
