What:Hope Stone's zany"Country Fried Breakfast for Dinner" fundraiser.
Where: Silver Street Studios on Edwards Street.
The 411: Most in this stylish congregation of 200 dressed in their best nighties, fuzzy slippers and robes for the annual pajama party — this time with a Texas twang — that raised $125,000 for Hope Stone. Benefit chair Anna McCullough, for example, wore a starry flannel robe while auction chair Emma Moon dressed in a slinky gown with marabou-trimmed bed jacket. The party action included a performance by 16 teen drummers, plus Hope Stone Dance Co. performers teaming with the Hope Stone Kids, their dance choreographed by Hope Stone president/CEO/artistic director Jane Weiner. Dinner chair Elizabeth Swift insured that the atmosphere was country and that the breakfast feast had plenty of biscuits and bacon for all. Before beddy-bye, The Traveling Murphys, a family band, provided country tunes.
Who: The pajama crowd included Kathy and Harry Masterson, Marcy and Douglas Newman, Gina Gaston, Valerie and Rick Greiner, Emily and Dr. Adam Weinstein, Tara Kelly and David Leftwich, Melissa Hobbs, C.C. Conner, Beth Muecke, Liz Decker, Franny Koelsch, Kelly and Kyle Kubin and Cathy and Randy Crath.
