Cristo Rey Jesuits well-schooled in the fine art of rocking parties: It'ssuperheroes & Bryan Caswell
Cristo Rey Jesuit gave a hearty thanks to its patrons Friday night with a comics-themed "Halls of Thunder" President's Celebration on the Southeast Houston campus where the focus was on recent renovations and the college preparatory school's technology partnership with Data Projections Inc.
It was fun for all as casually-attired guests tested their imagination and computer skills with interactive activities including playing charades via video-conferencing, conducting science experiments on a SMART board and working at a paint-by-numbers canvas of a life-sized superhero.
Chef Bryan Caswell and biz partner Bill Floyd (Reef, Stella Sola, El Real, Little Bigs) provided the eats and sips — sliders and fries, Reef "Lemonade" and Milkshakes No Minors.
Cristo Rey Jesuit founding president the Rev. T.J. Martinez, in his signature energetic style, gave a rousing speech thanking donors for their support of the college prep high school for low-income students.
Crawling the campus were more than 300 guests including Trini Mendenhall-Sosa and Frank Sosa, Sofia Adrogué and Sten Gustafson, Carol and Paul Beck, Cristina and Bill Moore, Lynn and Bob Murphy, Debbie and Steve Peifer, Amanda and Robert Brock and Diana Davila Martinez and Ramon Martinez.
