The Houston Spartan Race will feature three events: Spartan Sprint (3-5 miles with 20 Spartan Obstacles), a Spartan Kids Race (ages 5-12), and a Special Spartans heat, a customized course for young athletes with developmental disabilities as well as those with cognitive or vocational delays, thus enabling racers to gain a sense of inclusion and athletic accomplishment as well as a sense of community within the Spartan family.
The Spartan Foundation has pledged to donate the proceeds from 300 race entries sold (valued at $50,000) to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Houston as part of the foundation’s major fundraising campaign for the March 11 Spartan Race.
