Redbud Gallery presents MK Ghonima: "Optimistic Woe" opening reception

Most of the paintings that will be exhibited in the "Optimistic Woe" exhibition came together over a six month period while MK Ghonima traveled back and forth to Laredo, Texas for work. They are stories of the places where cultures overlap or butt up against each other. The artist's own story is that of someone who moved around a lot as a kid before immigrating to the United States and growing up in a multicultural household.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through March 28.
