In Commonplace, artists Barbara Smith and Ryan Takaba seek to illuminate unnoticed objects and acts in day-to-day-life. While Smith focuses on the repetition of objects to highlight her concepts, ceramist Takaba’s work is meant to be physically used and handled to highlight commonplace routines. The exhibition is on view through April 5 with an artist talk on March 25 at 5 p.m.
