In 1997, The Monarch School and Institute was founded in a home garage to meet the academic and therapeutic needs of 23 students with neurological differences and mental health concerns. Now 20 years later, because of the ongoing and dedicated support of the community, Monarch has grown to encompass a beautiful 11 acre campus in Spring Branch that is the gateway to life changing experiences for the hundreds of children, adolescents and adults served over the years.
The event will commemorate this milestone and celebrate the accomplishments of Monarch's students and adult learners. The keynote speaker is psychologist, author and international presenter Dr. Patrick Friman, a world-renown author and expert in the areas of Behavioral Pediatrics and Behavioral Medicine. Their 2018 Honoree is MetroNational, which has been a long time supporter of The Monarch School and Institute. Proceeds from the luncheon will directly benefit the general operations and tuition assistance fund.
