Dinner and a movie at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema can be a gourmet experience. Coupled with a screening of Joe Dirt, the four-course dinner takes it down a notch for a redneck themed evening.
Course 1 - Thunderbeans and Wieners
Scratch-cooked red bean stewed with Thunderbird wine, fresh vegetables and Angus beef franks, topped with mini chicken-fried Slim Jims. This dish is paired with Ska Brewery’s True Blonde.
Course 2 - Janitor’s Catch
Corn-fried Catfish rested on a bed of garlic stewed collard greens with a tangy pickle aioli for dipping, served with a glass of Boulevard’s Double Wide IPA.
Course 3 - The Dirty Joe
An epic redneck delicacy, the sloppy joe, reinvented and mulletified. Served over Home-made Buttermilk Biscuits, this rustic blend of slow-cooked Pork Shoulder and Angus Chuck is accompanied by garlic potatoes smothered in government cheese and accompanied with Tommyknocker Butthead Bock.
Course 4 - Silvertown Cobbler
The quintessential country dessert with a twist, balls of home-made peach cobbler are battered and fried to a sweet crunchy texture then served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This sweet and savory treat is rounded out with a glass of Oscar Blue’s Ten Fidy Imperial Stout.
