Houston Friends of Chamber Music
Playing “chamber music in any chamber,” the Chiara String Quartet expands live classical music from concert halls to clubs, bars and galleries. The quartet is described by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as “vastly talented, resourceful and committed to the music of their time.” This is the group's Houston Friends of Music debut and they will play the world premiere of “Amerindia”— a composition written for them by Rice alumnae and internationally known composer Gabriela Lena Frank.
