Sourcing imagery from his everyday life, the work of Angel Castelán in "De Azul Celeste," which translates into “of celestial blue,” explores the interplay between queer experiences, the creation of personal myths, and the beauty found within the mundane.

Capturing these quiet moments and ordinary emotions allows Castelán to find authenticity and vulnerability, unconstrained by cultural and societal influences. Through intimate colored pencil drawings and block prints, the pieces in the exhibition allow for not only introspection and catharsis but the humanization of queer life.
