Holocaust Museum Houston, in partnership with FotoFest, will host a screening the documentary 20 Days in Mariupol by Pulitzer Prize-winning Ukrainian journalist Mstyslav Chernov.
The harrowing film follows Chernov and his team as they document the first 20 days of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine in the besieged city of Mariupol. As the only international reporters who remain in the city, they capture what have later become defining images of the war: dying children, mass graves, the bombing of a maternity hospital, and more.
Prior to the screening will be a foreword from Chernov to the city of Houston, as well as a short panel discussion following the screening.
