Odile and Jacques are a middle class married couple, who live a mediocre life. Their sole source of interest and entertainment consists of consuming. A special offer in a supermarket will help them kill their boredom by purchasing... a couple of friends. Neatly stowed in a closet, their new friends Guy and Juliette only come out to accommodate all their whims. This social satire will make you laugh, cringe and reflect on a society where consumerism has been pushed to the extreme.
